Amy, If you scroll down to the posts on January 2nd there is actually a thread dealing with this issue. It is titled "menstrual blood". Sudsey's response included some good medical explanations for the presence of dark blood. I had it through every period for the past year or so. My doc also dismissed it as nothing, but check out those posts...the info is interesting. Alyson
