Re: Been diagnosed.....sort of....From: Alexandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Jan 6 07:58:13 2006
Hi there, I do not know what IC is but if you already have been diagnosed with endo I suggest you keep a look at it. It may or may not be the cause of your pain, but it is certainly something to get under control, specialy since you will be wanting to conceive soon. I have had endo and already have a six year old daughter. Think positive. I have also have had 4 laparoscopies since I was diagnosed at 18 and now am 35. So donīt be afraid of surgery. I would be afraid of having something wrong inside me and not taking care of it. I recently had my 4th. laparoscopy, my new doctor was reluctant to do it. I insisted, turns out I had stage three endo. I had been on fertility hormone treatments for a year with no succes. How was I going to conceive under those conditions. Now after surgery, I undergo Hormone therapy for the endo. And after for fertility acompanied by artificial insemination. But the important thing is now I have a real chance. An also hope. Hope this helps.Good luck, Alexandra.
