Hi Amanda, I'm in Ottawa. I 've been on this site for about 3 weeks now. I was diagnosed Dec 14 05, and yes this is a great place its helped me alot already im making some choices. Our health care system does have its perks, however as I'm finding it also has its draw backs. If I can give any advise it would be to write down your concerns and questions and make sure that you follow your list, doctors sometimes have away to make us hurry through things, but understanding your health isn't something that you want to rush through. There doesn't seem to be a lot of Canadian resources, but I do have a few links and a couple of names if you are interested just send me an email and I'll gladly share. As far as the boyfriend, well lucky for him there many discomforts that he will never experience as a man, but if he's willing I'd ask him to research this disease with you. Maybe then on some level he will understand just how invasive Endo is.

best of luck, and if you're in need of some Canadian comfort feel free to contact me anytime.
