Re: Pain months after laparoscopy

Megan, Do you know if your doctor cauterized the endo or removed it via laser? My first doc cauterized the endo during my lap. Since then I have learned that cauterization is basically an ineffective method for removing the implants. I had no pain relief following that surgery and in fact had to have a second surgery a year later with a new doctor. THat said, the laproscopy isn't a guarantee for helping the pain...(I have been told that microscopic endo that can't be seen during surgery can continue to cause pain and endo symptoms). It may be that you need to try a different medication, or something else could be going on. Have you talked to your doctor about the pain you are having now? Alyson
