Re: Menstrual Blood

Well, in my case the doctor I was initially seeing dismissed my concerns about the color/consistency/ and clotting I was experiencing during my periods and basically told me it meant nothing. I've since changed doctors and haven't asked him about it. I can say that in my experience when I first began menstruating I had "good flow", no clotting, good color. However, I noticed not long after that things started to chnge. I have polycystic ovaries and do not have a period unless I am on the pill, so I chalked it up to "old blood". Once the endo developed it was even worse (major clotting, nasty dark, thick stuff). The only time in the past 8-10 years that it all looked "healthy" was when I was seeing an accupuncturist last year and she was treating me with herbs. So, I guess I'm saying the correlation makes sense based on my experience but my doctor acted like I was nuts! ;-) Alyson
