endo treatmentsFrom: christina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Dec 30 14:27:29 2005
I was diagnosed with endo in november(through a lapro). The docter told me I need to have a depro-lupron shot. After reading about this on the internet and talking to some people, I do not feel like I want to do this. First, I want to have another child, second, it causes depression which I had about 2 years ago and do not want to go through that again (I am doing okay now, no meds needed). The docter told me that there is no other medication that she can give me. I am supposed to let them know my decision after the 1'st of the year. The pain comes and goes for me, but when it comes it's really bad for about 3-4 days, usually every month or two months. The doctor also told me that I have another condition, but I don't know the name of it, it's where the linings (there are three) of the uterus grow together and this also causes pain. The doctor told me that eventually I would have to have a hysterectamy. I'm scared to take the shot because all of the side effects. Why can't they just give me something for pain when I have the pain? I am thinking about going to another doctor, any suggestions? Thank you in advanced, Christina
