I am so sorry for what you are having to go through. I can relate all to well, I spent Christmas eve, "" day, and the day after too in bed with horrible endo. pain. I had to get a pain management doctor as my obgyn did not feel comfortable perscribing such high powered medicine but knew I needed it! I'm very lucky to have such an amazing doctor who specilized at Emory University on Endo.. To finally answer your question I take Methodone (which at first I didn't want to try, due to everything I had heard about it. However, the doctor explained that it controls your pain for a longer rate without so much up and down periods with pain. Also as you know when your in that much pain you begin to not care so much about what other people think and just want a break from the pain!) and for breakthrough pain I take percocet. I have also found that zanaflex helps a lot with my pain, you might want to try that first before going to the stronger medicines. Good luck and keep us posted!
