I have pain the week before my period, during my period and during ovulation. I have been prescribed Ultram, or the generic is Tramadol. It works very well, I also have prescription 800 mg Motrin that on the really bad days I can alternate between the two prescriptions. The Ultram works very well for me, on bad pain days I normally only have to take one twice a day, and I can still function at my job and as a mother of a very active 5 year old boy. They are non-habit forming from what I have been told. Good Luck.
