New diagnosisFrom: Tina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Dec 27 18:11:01 2005
Hi everyone, On Friday I went in for a diagnostic laporascopy thinking that I just had some scar tissue that needed to be removed from my prior lap appendectomy surgery. When I woke up I was told I had scar tissue, a hernia, AND endometriosis. The scar tissue is no big deal, the hernia is fine, but I have no idea about endo and what to do. My surgeon said to follow up with my GYN. When I called my GYN today they told me that no one in the office could see me for almost three weeks. I am wondering if I should be finding a specialist or is it typical to just go to any GYN etc. I have no idea what I am dealing with here and I don't want to approach this the wrong way. I don't know if this is somthing you just get on a pill or patch for and life goes on, of if I need to be aggresive and find someone that deals with this a lot. What does everyone think? Should I seak a specialist or continue with my regular GYN and an office that does not seem to think I need to see someone for three weeks? Thank you for your help. I am new at this so anything anyone can offer is a big help! Thanks, Tina
