Nothing over the counter wise helps at all. I read that you need to take a pain killer before the pain starts for it to work to the best it can. I have a limited ability to tell when my period will start. I can't take BC so I write my dates down and try to keep track cycle wise but that is not always very acurate. I knew it was coming but I thought I had 3 more days at least but today I ruined my new underwear I got for Christmas!! I am also afraid that the extensive over the counter medication I take will damage my liver kidneys and other organs. I must tell you that for the past two periods I have taken hydrocodone (like codeine same familyof drugs) that I was prescribed for the pain after my lap. I need to ask my gyn for somethign to help me get through the pain. I have a 3 year old and it kills me that I can barely take care of him on these days. Sorry if I ramble but I took one of those hydrocodone pills a little while ago and it is starting to work THANK GOD!! I don't know how severe my pain is compaired to anyone else well I do know that some of you are in pain alot more than me and I pray for you I really do. I tell my husband about some of th e things I read here and he seems to relize how severe this disease can be and could get. Ok so to get back to my question What do you all take for pain releif?? I need something I can live through nothing that will knock me out. This hydrocondone I can fight and stay awake but I can also give in and sleep but it is a controlled substance so I am not sure if my dr will let me have it on a reg. basis. He prescribed ponstel but it is $50 a pop and I would have to take it from the time my period starts to the time it ends. THANK_YOU Hope all could enjoy the holidays.
