Lost job b/c of endoFrom: Meredith (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Dec 23 14:32:40 2005
Hey all!! Just when things start to look a little better, I find out, out of the blue mind you, that I no long have a job. Yeah, apparently b/c of excessive absences which my bosses knew were because of endo. I okay'd the surgery prior to it to make sure I wasnt leaving then in a bind.....I would have waited because that is how much this job means to me!!! The people above me are male so they just dont understand! I was told that they come to work all the time when they don't feel well so that's not an excuse. This job is what I have worked toward for my entire life, and I loved it.Calling in sick to work is a huge deal because I never do it. I also informed them about the Lupron treatment and how the first month or two would make my symptoms worse.....All was fine and dandy. I guess they just dont understand!! I am so hurt on so many levels....I dont know whether to laugh, cry, scream, or kick some butt!!! If anyone has been in a aimilar situation please advise me. I have had to withdraw from college, lost my financial aid, face the fact i may not be able to have children, and now...right before christmas mind you...I've lost my job!!! How much more do I have to loose before it gets better.
