I wouldn't worry too much about the surgeon talking to you fter the surgery. Some people come out of anesthesia differently and both of my surgeons spoke to me when I was waking up. Usually they will also explain the situation to your family member if there is someone waiting for you in the waiting room. I am very sure that when you go in for your post op appointment he will explain everything in detail and will likely also have the results back from your biopsy. As far as the surgery results....not sure about the appendix thing, but a biopsy is pretty normal if they find endo. It is a way to confirm that the implant they found is endo and not "something" else. My surgeon biopsied a large endometrioma he found during my last lap. If you had cysts or something that may have been another reason for the biopsy. Its really kind of hard to know with what you remember, hopefully the doctor will call you back to let you know what happened. In the meantime don't worry too much and get lots of rest! Alyson
