Janet, A laproscopy is a common proceedure used to confirm the presence of endo. It doesn't always show up on ultrasounds/scans/etc., so the only way to know for sure is for the doctor to go in and look. It is not a major surgery...usually done out patient where you go in early in the morning and leave in the afternoon. It takes about a week to get back up and around. Alyson
