I know I need to see my doctor, but in the mean time I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas what could be causing my irregular period. I always had long heave periods from the time I started at age 11. At 15 I went on the pill to regulate my cycle. It did, and I remained on them regularly for 5 years. Then I began taking them continuously up until about 9 months ago. I was on them continuously and did not have a period for almost 6 years. When my periods started back, they were lighter than before and only lasted for 5-7 days. However, now they only come every other month. I was on a high dosage bcp because the lower doses wouldn't work, and I had surgery with Dr. Albee last August. I am trying to get pregnant, and have had no luck. I am supposed to be on my period this week, beginning Tuesday, but it has not started. I thought I might be pregnant, but took a test and it was negative. Any ideas? Anyone go through anything similiar? Thanks, in advance, for your help!
