surgery, endo and becoming pregnant. need advice. From: ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Dec 7 21:39:11 2005
Hi, I need some advice since I feel a little lost. I already had about 4 surgeries and my last one was about 2.5 years ago. I take bcp's to avoid my periods and I only get them once in while to avoid the endo from getting worse. Well I have another cyst in my left ovary again which is driving me nuts. My doctor told me to come in February to see if it is growing faster or staying the same. She also has mentioned to me that if I have plans to have a baby next year than she would due surgery before this because if I decide not to and than decide later I would need another surgery later again to clean it up inside. Last time my endo was going from stage 2-3 so I am not sure where I am now. My doctor thinks that after the surgery I can try to have a baby on my own and she thinks I might be able to do it. It might take longer but if it does not work than I might have to take some medicine. My questions is that do any of you have tried doing this and got lucky on having a baby? My boyfriend wants to try to see what happens but I am kind of scared to find out that maybe I won't be able to have one. I am 33 and I never tried getting pregnant so I don't know what will happen. I mean would it take years for me to become pregnant? Would I be able to become pregnant lets say in a year? I just don't know what to think. Please advice. THanks :)
