Re: someone raised the issue of hormones in animal productsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Dec 7 12:00:42 2005
You ask the question of whether the feed and seed your family bought could have been contaminated with enhancement chemicals - most likely yes. However, it is possible that they were able to buy feed and seed without any additives. There is no real known cause of endometriosis but there are plenty of theories that range from environmental pollution (air, food, water) but the fact that there is no real supporting evidence to that (similar people ingest same pollutants but do not suffer similar effects disproves the Pollution causes Endomtriosis theory) to the whole 'retained menstruation' theory. I think that if/when 'they' finally do find the cause it is going to be a specific combination of genetics + environment + currently unknown trigger. If it was purely genetics you would see strong family lines in each case like you do with hemophila. If it was purely environmental then you would see entire communities stricken. It must be a combination of factors with a trigger that makes it active in person A but dormant in person B even though person A & B are alike in all other ways.
