Re: Miserable!!

I've seen doctors who don't even try to say they are going to remove all the endo during the lap - they said they would "remove what they could" and if that didn't give me relief they would start me on Lupron. I had already told them I will NOT take Lupron - they just didn't care what I wanted. So I asked what if the Lupron doesn't work? And was told I'd need another lap or better yet - a hysterectomy because that would cure it. Well, I know that's not true! Doctors like that may as well go back to bloodletting and trepination as far as I'm concerned. Okay, I'm being extreme there, but it's aggravating to be told things I know are false!

Meredith - did he excise the endo, or burn it off? If he didn't excise, chances are he only got a fraction of the lesions and he put you on Lupron because he knew he didn't get it all. Was the procedure videotaped? That can really help if you need another surgery with a different doctor.

I'm really sorry to hear you are still having trouble after all this. Although I am against Lupron for myself, it does work for some women, and it often makes the endo flare up before it makes it better (same with birth control pills). Only you can decide what is right for you!

Best, Diana
