It sounds like you have a pretty good doctor. My doctor also was
hesitant about doing to many laps in a short period of times due to
possible scar tissue building. But sometimes you have to do them to get
rid of stuff. I have read that now there is some kind of barrier that
doctors can put where they cut to prevent scar tissue. Scar tissue can
lead to more adheasions. I had surgery about every two years for a
while. For the pain....I once was on pain pills for three months
straight waiting for surgery. I had such a headache after going off
them, that I said I would not take anymore. So I have tuffed it out
over the years with advil and a heating pad. I also don't like to alter
my state of being because most of the time I am in business for myself
and meds can make you a different person thus causing me to make
decisons more out of emotions rather than wisdom. I don't know if I
mentioned it to you or not but learn how your body reacts to certain
vitamins and foods. This can help you regarding your period. My docs
recommended B vitamins. I am older now, when I was young I didn't
listen. Now I take vitamins and minerals, and can tell if I miss a day,
my energy is pooppooo. I also have a high tolerance for pain. Rest
when my body tells me I need it. Vaction by myself once in a while to
keep myself in check. Everyone is different, you may have been lucky
not to have been filled with endo. even though I have had it for a long
time, I wasn't filled with endo either. Just a few adhesions here and
there. The periods are the worst. If you can get them in some form of
control, that is more than half your battle while you are still young.
This was where I struggled physically and emotionally the most because
it was moody the week before and during plus the long week of pain and
heavy bleeding. So that is half the month!!! You may not be like your
other relatives. Like I said you have to guard yourself emotionally
against fear,it can wreak havoc on your mind and cause to much stress.
You may not have to deal with this the rest of your life. They might
find a cure, or be able to clean it all out, or you may have children
one day and then get a partial. Think of all the wonderful
possibilities!!! Talk again. Lori L.
