I'm not sure why you're posting this to an endometriosis forum unless in addition to your knee problems you have endo but neither are related so.... The only advice I can give you is to ask your doctor about physical therapy especially ones that you can do at home. My son had similar problems with his knees and had to get a doctor to write a note allowing him to use the elevator at school instead of the stairs to help his knees heal. It was unbelievable the arguments that the administration tried using to prevent this - absolutely inhumane! As the women here can attest, if people cannot see with their eyes that something is wrong then they automatically assume you must be faking it, exaggerating about it or using it as a convenient excuse and the more you try to stand up for yourself the worse it gets. Your REAL friends believe you and are concerned about you the rest are just waiting to see what you can do FOR them and have no interest in your well-being. good luck and hope it heals for you, follow doctor's orders and take care of yourself, you're too young to end your dance dreams now by rushing your recovery.
