Hello, im 14 and have chrondomalacia patella. i was dancing every night and was fine until one night my legs seemed tighter than usual so i went home and started streching. i felt something tear in my leg and i rested for a few weeks and was diagnoesed with many different things. i pulled my collaterals, tore my abductour and had a slight tear in my anteriour cruciate. Now i have been told i have got this! the specalist said i can have it for a year or 40 and i dont no when it is going to go away. . i am constantly missing school because of it. im in to much pain to walk anywhere and i have been told i have to build up the muscles but when i do get to go to school by the time i have come home my knees are killing me anyway. At school everyone just says that i fake it and it really does get to me. ive had to give up my dancing and all my sports because of it also i have gained 2 stone!!! has anyone got any advise?? jessie xx
