Re: ovarian cysts and endometriosisFrom: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Oct 31 11:19:03 2005
Amanda, When you called to make your appointment did you tell them that you have a very large cyst that was discovered when you had to go to the ER? Alot of times if you let the schedulers know you are having a serious issue they will work you in. If you can feel the thing, you need to have it checked out soon. As far as your cyst rupturing, there is always that chance. I don't know that anyone can tell you when that might happen. Endo can cause a certain kind of cyst referred to as a chocolate cyst because it is blood filled. It can also cause endometriomas which is more of a growth than a cyst. However you can also develop other cysts that are not related to endo. Your doctor would probably have to do some tests to see exactly what is going on. I don't know much about the bladder issue, but you should check out some of the posts regarding interstitial cystitis (sp?). They might have some helpful info. I really would call your OBGyn and try to get them to work you in sooner than December 5th. Alyson
