ovarian cysts and endometriosisFrom: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Oct 30 21:43:01 2005
Hello everyone! I have not been diagnosed with endo but have all the symptoms. I can't get into the doctor until Dec. 5th to get checked. What worries me is that in August, I went into the ER for severe abdominal pain that they thought was appendisitis. Well, it wasn't but they did find a "very large cyst" on my left ovary during a CT scan. That was not what was causing the pain though. The cyst does not hurt but I constantly feel pressure and I can feel it by lightly pressing on it. It seems to be getting bigger. I'm not too educated on endo so bare with me. Can endo be what is causing the cyst and making it bigger? Also, when doctors say "very large cyst," how big is that? I asked them how big and they wouldn't tell me, just kept saying very large. What are the chances of it rupturing before my doctor appt in December? Another question I have is in regards to the bladder and endo post. I have had frequent uti's for the past two years and doctors have found no reason why. They just keep giving more antibiotics every time like its normal. I asked why I keep getting them and they just tell me it could be a number of reasons and send me home. Can endo cause frequent uti's? Thanks for all the help! You lady's are better than my doctors when it comes to getting answers!
