Re: Question about Migraines and endo....

Hi ladies, I too get migraines, and I have been getting them since I got off the birth control last year. After going to a few doctors they concluded that they were menstrual migraines, and a lot of women get these. I started out taking relpax and fioricet for them, and then my gyno actually wanted me to switch to Maxalt, and Maxalt has been wonderful for me. The only bad thing is it is very expensive and there is no generic for it, but it's a tablet that dissolves on your tongue that you take at the first sign of a migraine. It has kind of a minty taste to it, but it works very quickly and usually I never have to take a second one, but if the migraine is still there I do take one. I know there is also migraine prevention meds but my doc said if I were getting them more than once a month than she would have me take them. I have tried axert and imitrex in the past and neither worked very well for me. Relpax and fioricet worked well together, and maxalt by itself is great. Hope this helps...Take care...Amanda
