I was just reading an article from the Mayo Clinic on msn.com about
coping with pain. Its a bit Stuart Smiley (gosh darn it people like
me!) but, it makes some really good points. One of them being that you
have to start learning to participate in activities on a level you can
handle, like telling your parents you'll come by, but you can only stay
for 30 minutes (instead of the duration of whatever project they have in
store). Your mom wants you to see a doctor and knows you are in pain,
surely she will understand if you bow out early. Anyway, here's the
