Vicky, I know it sounds weird, but I agree that Lupron is an awefully big step to take without knowing for sure what you are actually treating. Surgery is a big deal, but unfortunately necessary to confirm the presence of endo. If your doctor does the lap and finds endo, that would be a good time to discuss Lupron and other options. I've never tried Lupron but many women on this site have. Some have had great experiences and some have had terrible experiences. Trying Lupron and other meds really comes down to educating yourself as much as possible about potential side effects and making a decision about what you are comfortable with. Val posted a site not long ago that I found extremely helpful. It explains everything about endo including different meds used for treatment. It may really help you determine if there is another option you want to ask your doctor about. Also, don't be afraid to seek a second opinion before having surgery, and be sure you trust your doctor and think he's the best guy for the job.
