About endo bracelet, my surgery, the patch, and to all. From: PennyDoll (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Oct 5 10:32:40 2005
Well, had my surgery yesterday. Found out i have the worst stage endo. It was attatched to my bowels and what not. They drained my cyst, and got all the could. I only had a lap, so 3 incisions. Didn't lose my ovary, tube or anything else which is great. They almost admitted me cause the dumbass nurse didn't realize that a small dose of morphine or something after surgery wasnt helping me. Very rude, I mean didn't let anyone in to see me, didn't give me privacy by shutting the curtain while trying to use a bedpan, and was loud and sooo rude. But the rest went ok. Glad I didn;t lose anything else. I will be put on Synalrel soon. (I think that's how you spell it. It's the nasal version of Lupron, but less side affects. And you can stop at any time if you get adverse side affects. Unlike the shot that is in you for good for 3 months.) But anyways, I was in huge amounts of pain, and I have a new patch on, and taking perc 10's atm to help. I also went out and got Phazyme, Malox gas relief, and gas drops for the gas they put in you. Last night it was horrible, but feel a little better today. Helping with the bloating, and horrible pain in my chest is almost gone. So that's good. My hubby was great. So was my mom. About you guys who asked about the patch, I never requested it. My new GYN that I love and did my surgery suggested it. They're meant for Opioid tolerant patients. (Ones who have taken other narcaotics for pain for a long time but hasn't helped. Im on the 3 highest dose cause of my tolerance. Check out http://www.Duragesic.com I think it is. There's 2 generic, but from what i've read, they suck. I love these. About Dr's not wanting to help with pain, gonna have to do what i've done for years. Keep looking for someone who takes you seriously and wants to help. Maybe even show em the info on the patch site. But only if your Opioid tolerant. And you've built up a tolerance. Show em you've done your research and you know what your talking about. Make a file to bring with you. It shows your serious. It helped me alot. But also does finding the right Dr. to take you seriously. Now, as for the Endo wrist bands, I ordered them just now. Go to http://www.endometriosisassn.org and click on BUY NOW torwards the top. It's 15 bands, a ribbon, and info sheets to hand out. I figured I may give em to my mom..try to sell them at her work as support, and to help with bills. I also asked the company when ordering in the box about suggestions, if they could send me a catalog, more ribbons, and more brochures to hand out. I also joined the club which helps you save $10.00 on the endo site, and more savings other places. But it's a great idea. I meant to post it to you guys a while ago, and was gonna order them. Maybe it can help with bills by selling them, or give to your family to show support, or whatever. As for now, im just relaxing and recouperating. Very sore. And to find out I have the highest stage of endo is scary. Which means it's not over. Prob use the Synarel to help slow it, talk about having a child with my husband eventually, but I think eventually I'll end up having more surgeries. Im looking on the bright side for now. I hope the rest of you are doing well, and I hope this helps with some of your questions. If not, email me. I've learned alot by myself, my awesome new Dr., and from people on here. The fight isn't over for me, but I'm working on it. So don't give up. Do research, know what your doing, and show Dr's your not just some person faking pain. Or keep searching. I also did background checks on my Dr's by going on the Medical association site. I'll put the site up once I find my print outs. Til then, good luck to all. Thanks for your thoughts, and email me if you want more personal help. I'll try my best. Im 22 and proved people wrong, and got the help I needed. It is hard. But if you go about it the right way, you end up winning. Feel better all, I'm goin to rest my body and my stomache. PennyDoll27@aol.com or use AIM PennyDoll27
