Re: Adhesion blocking film?

I also had a laparotomy due to stage 4 endo, which basically left adhesions that binded most of my womenly parts, bowels, etc all together in one nice big clump.

My doctor used Interceed, which is similar to the material burn units use on burn patients to help them heal better. Interceed gets placed in between 2 healing spots in the body and it is supposed to help those spots heal normally, without causing more adhesions. The interceed dissolves after a few months.

Type it up in a Google search. There are a few doctors out there that say that the Interceed could actually make adhesions worse, but it seems to have worked for me, so far.
