Re: SCARED!....Surgery Decision

Hey there, I am going in for my 2nd lap on Thursday. its easy to get bogged down on this site, as helpful as it is it can be very frightening to recognize the potential this disease has for disrupting our lives. I just have to say that as much as we are all alike, we are all different people who's bodies respond in different ways to the varieties of treatments available. Some people on this site have had great experiences with things that have not worked for me and vice versa. If you really trust your doctor and feel that this is the best decision for you, there is no way to know the result until you do it. It is perfectly natural to be nervous about surgery. I've only done this once, but I am still very nervous about mine Thursday. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that this guy knows his stuff and I'll have a better result. That's all I can really do now. Best of luck to you Thurday, I'll keep you in my thoughts. Alyson
