Help me understand my med records Please!

Hello girls! Well I just got back my med records from my lap and was hoping some of you could help clarify a few things for me. This is from the operative report-under "operative procedure" it says, 1. Lysis of adhesions and 2. Excisional biospsy and fulguration of extensive pelvic endometriosis. In the same report under "procedure" it says things like, "using hook electrode or cautery hooked to scissors using cutting hook and electrode at a power setting of 70 watts." Also says, "We succeeded in vaporizing that area of endo." Also, "Excisional biopsy was carried out as much as possible." Also, such and such "was excised and/or fulgurated, again, using cutting current and high wattage in an effort to vaporize the endo rather than merely coagulate it." Also, such and such "was freed by a combo of blunt and sharp dissection." And finally, "endo was once again fulgurated."

So I'm wondering, sounds like the endo was excised but possible other methods were used-for those of you who are real knowledgable in the methods of excising/lasering endo, what method did my Dr. use and did he use the best one? I think it's the word-fulgurate-that confuses me, I don't know. My pre-op is Monday so I hope in the next few days I can figure out my game plan for treatments. Please help me to understand this if you can! thanks so much girls and I am praying for you all that we find relief to all of this soon! Take care!
