Erudite, like u i had never heard of endometriosis either! i too went in for yearly exams. i don't remember when it started but i started having pain, but i just brushed it off. finally my mom said u been get it checked out. so i did and they said its an infection and gave me antibiotics (spellig). it didn't help. again i drug my feet and didn't go back to the doctoe. wondered if they would think i was crazy. i finally had to go back right after easter because my pain was so bad i alomst passed out. doc told me he though it was endo. i went in for a lap on the 5th of april and they found stage 4 endo. he burned most of it with the laser and sent me on my way. he told me nothing about endo. so i started doing my own search. my pain came back in aug. back to the doc. he started me on lupron depot shots. so far they aren't to bad....but i know this is only a temporary fix. there is no cure of endo and that really sucks! this forum has been a life saver for me! the woman here are very helpful! good luck and if u need some support or any questions feel free to e mail me!
