I just found this forum today. I'm 32 and had a laparoscopy a week ago (Sept 22). It was supposed to be a 30 min procedure but turned out to be 3 hours. I feel so confused about endometriosis. I'd never heard about it before, and yet it can cause so many complications. My doctor told me very little but encouraged me to look for information online. I'm not sure what I'm facing here. I read some of the messages posted and can identify with the fear and uncertainty. I go in for my post op-in a week. Did any of you have pain before your diognosis? Did you have an idea that something was wrong with you? I went for a yearly exam and before I knew it I had a laparoscopy scheduled. I thought all women suffered as much as I did from cramps. I just thought they handled it better. Are we in the dark about endo or is it me?
