Hi ladies. I'm back. Had my Lap 2 days ago, and recovery is coming along alright. It was so weird for me because I've never had any sort of surgery whatsoever, so this felt so weird. The memory of it all is still very surreal to me -- the anesthesia, the whole deal. I made my husband go to class because I knew I wouldn't even be heading into surgery until he got out -- but the first thing I asked when I got rolled out was for my husband -- I guess the doc gave me more drugs to calm me because I sounded upset, then I fell back asleep -- the next time I woke up (which was basically for good) I asked the nurse how many incisions there were. That was the key to everything...she helped me check, there were 3. I didn't know how to feel about it, upset, relieved, I wasn't sure...it meant he found endo. When I got into recovery and my family came in, they told me the doc had showed them the pics and that I had stage 1. He got most of it, they were mainly on my cul de sac. But there was one he was scared to get, but got (because of where it was) -- it was on the ureter?? Or something like that. My post op is next Thursday and I'll know more about what he found and also what I'll be doing next -- I think it kind of depends on my symptoms and all. Anyway, today is the first day I'm able to come on the computer -- my incisions are hurting a lot less, but I still have the darned gas pain in my shoulders and chest. Everytime I lay down it gets worse, so I prop myself up to sleep at night. My whole family is here taking care of the house and me, so that's nice, I like to have company and my husband has school and work and I don't want him to miss if he doesn't have to. Anyway, it's all been very weird for me, but recovery is coming along, although I must say, for a minor surgery, it doesn't feel so minor! And all I have is 3 little incisions! Anyway, take care...
