Rachel, I just had my first lap on Monday and found out I too have endo. I'm only 21, so we're pretty much in the same crappy situation. Recovery is pretty awful, I agree. I'm scared too; mostly about being able to have kids, but also just in general. It's a terrifying thing to suddenly find out you have something wrong with you like this. I hope your recovery is quick and (relatively) painless.
