Just wanted to throw this out there...When I was at my pre op
appointment yesterday my doc asked me if I wanted to condsider and
endometrium ablation. That would be complete distruction of your
uterine lining, i.e. no more periods. I guess if you believe in the
retro grade bleeding theory that would be a good option to consider. It
is permanent (no possibility for pregnancy) but not so extreme as a
hysterectomy. I declined the proceedure because I'm not quite ready to
go there...so I don't know that much about it. Maybe something to look
into as an alternative to hysterectomy???
