lindsey, I had a lap a little over a year ago and am getting ready to have my second one in a couple of weeks. It really isn't that bad. Its no picnic, but compared to the pain I am in these days, the surgery is no big deal. It took me about a week to recover. I took my pain pills and slept for a few days then tried to take it easy for the following week. Keep in mind a laproscopy is often the only way to confirm that endometriosis is present. So, if your doc really thinks its necessary it may be worth considering. I don't have any experience with the fertility proceedure you are speaking of. Good luck to you. Alyson
