my ob/gyn did the excision. he had done a normal lap with cautery 7 months earlier, but the stuff grew back. so he did an excision, and the pain relief lasted about a year or so. and that was without any birth control to slow the stuff down. the only problem i had with the excision was some pain way deep inside that felt more like deep internal itching than anything else. and it stunk because i couldn't scratch it. lol. i think he also cauterized some stuff, but he did excise an area on my ligament.
