Dawn, I am sorry to hear that you have had to join us, but I am glad you did. I can only explain to you my Lupron story and hope that helps you a bit. I did not have a lot of success, but if you look back on the messages there are women who are having success with Lupron. They gave me Lupron in 3 injections. The side effects that I suffered from were hotflashes, horrible leg cramps, headaches, soreness, fatique and a lot of pain. It was basically endo with a few added symptoms and it didn't help. It has caused many problems with women and osteoporsis (so calcium pills might be a must, ask your doc.) I didn't contine with it because I felt if I had all this with endo, then why do it, I am only adding to my pain. I don't want to discourage you because many have success. Lupron makes your body feel as if it is going into a menopausal state. No periods, then your endo cannot continue to grow, but it doesn't do anything for the current endo that you might already have. I think this is why doctors use lupron or even b/c pills following a lap to help keep it under control so that it doesn't come back so fast. I am not an expert on this by any means. Just telling you what I have been told and what I have experienced. There are many other girls on this forum who know a lot more medical terminology then I do. I hope this helps and take care of yourself! Hugs~ Lori D.
