Re: 2nd lupron injectionFrom: MJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 15 12:29:45 2005
G, Thanks. I have been painfree, so far--I hope it continues. I hope you get to be painfree too! I have been staying up way too late, so that may be contributing to my tiredness, but it's hard to say. So far it is tolerable, although I have to say I can't wait for the weekend so I can sleep in! I have noticed being a little more moody--especially right before I got my period, but my period was sooooooo easy this month. I couldn't believe it! I took ibuprofen the first day because I had some cramps (but not bad) and I took it the 2nd day more out of habit than need--I was afraid the cramps were going to get bad, but they never did--even when I forgot the ibuprofen--yea, I actually forgot to take it! I am still in shock. I know there are horror stories about lupron (my sister has her own horror story to tell which weighed heavily on me before I made the decision for myself), but so far, it's been ok. I hope you get some relief. My husband and I want to have a baby so badly and if this is one step in the process then we are willing to give it a try. My sister (the one who had the horrible experience) was only able to make it through three months of lupron before calling it quits. She is now pregnant and due in November. I am thrilled for her, but at the same time I am hoping we have the same outcome (she is younger than me). Wow, I guess I really rambled there! Sorry about that! Anyway, I want to wish you the best and hope things get better pain and s/e wise! At least we have each other as supports around here. Good luck to you. Let me know how your #2 injection goes. MJ
