2nd lupron injectionFrom: MJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 15 11:19:01 2005
2 down, four more to go! I was given my 2nd injection yesterday. I also had a sono. I was told that my left ovary is responding beautifully (cysts that were there a month ago are almost gone), but the right one isn't responding, yet (cysts haven't budged). My re talked about the possibility of needing to do more surgery in January (I had a lap in July) and possibly removing my right ovary if it comes to that--then he backed off and said that he was totally getting ahead of himself that I didn't need to worry about that yet, but he didn't want to blindside me in Dec. Of course, there is still time for my right ovary to start responding (my incredibly supportive husband said he would have a little chat w/ it to if he needed it--he crack me up sometimes!!!!). I shocked myself because I didn't have a meltdown--could still happen, of course, but I am trying my best to stay positive. I have so many things to be thankful for. I have a fantastic husband, a job that allows me the flexibility to attend appts and take time off when I need to--ok it also stresses me out sometimes too but I am trying not to let it, and a great doctor. I am also pain free. I am taking this time to work on being healthy--I am going to the gym regularly and I trying to spend more time w/ friends. The only s/e I have noticed so far is that I have been a little tired lately and a little moody, but not bad. Hopefully I will get lucky and won't experience any of the horrible stuff I have heard about. Oh also--I lost four pounds--guess going to the gym and eating healty is paying off! Hope you are having a pain free day!
