Re: Am i wasting time and money?From: Kara (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Sep 14 11:12:27 2005
Dear G, I understand your frustration! I'm still doing well on my Lupron, and am happy that, for now, my insurance covers it 100%. However, one thing that I keep in my head - there is NO cure for this. There is not a miracle drug that makes it go away. From what i've read from all the wonderful women in here, no matter what therapy they choose, it always seems to come back at some point. I was lucky that I went 6 years between my surgeries. I am also worried about what happens after my 10 months of Lupron. (which i'm afraid i'll only be able to do for 8 months due to my insurance resetting the deductible to 0 on jan 1st - and then i'll be responsible to pay $1100 again before they'll cover the lupron.. eeek). I'm just going to listen to my body - and listen to my doctor and pray that something good happens!! I know that no matter what I do I'll always have endo - and the only thing I try to do now with the Lupron is to calm it down so it wont cause me the pain. The one thing that I have to constantly remind myself - that 6 months of pain-free days is a heck of a lot better than always being in pain. Even though Endo is not cureable - the 6 months of no pain is SO worth it to me! Good luck!!
