Trisha, Remember, it has only been a day since your surgery. It sounds like your doctor had to do alot of work in there. Your insides are probably pretty beat up and need some time. When I had my first lap I was hurting pretty bad (not to the extent you've described) the first day or two and took enough percocet to knock me out. I pretty much slept for 3 days. As far as the Lupron alternatives go...I expressed my concerns about it to my doc and he has suggested that after the lap he will put me on a continuous dose of progesterone. He says it accomplishes the same task as Lupron without having to go to that extreme and that if it doesn't work we'll explore some other options. I haven't done alot of research about it yet though.
