Sandy, I have polycystic ovaries and wasn't having a period at all, or would have it at crazy intervals. I was finally diagnosed prior to my endo diagnosis. I was having pain even though I wasn't having my period. If you don't know much about polycystic ovaries...basically your ovaries try to ovulate, but the eggs cannot be released, causing several cysts on the ovaries where the eggs tried to bud off. You still have the hormone fluctuation involved with ovulation, but no period b/c the egg wasn't released. It might be worth checking into with respect to why she's not having her period. Again, I was subsequently diagnosed with endo- so the doc may not be that far off. Good luck to you and your daughter. Alyson
