Advice needed - Help

Hi there, I had my lap, hysteroscopy and D & C 9 days ago now. Found out I have severe endo..... My period was due today - but I got it yesterday. Quite heavy bleeding, and cramps the same as usual - maybe slightly worse, I know that my obgyn said no tampons, but I kind of thought that might of been for the spotting or bleeding after the operation, which I had but was minimal. Today I used Tampons as I couldn't handle another day using sanitary pads, my cramps have been alright, still a bit worse than normal. Now I have read on the net that your not supposed to use tampons for about 3 weeks after a D & C, so now I'm panicking that I have done myself some damage??? and am going to get some horrific infection..... I know that I was to expect either an earlier or later period, which could possibly be heavier, more painful with clots, which I think I have all three, or is something else bad happening. All of my endo was excised and multiple adhesions removed or released. Could this have anything to do with bleeding??? It seems like a relatively normal period to me....Sorry about the personal nature of this post - but there is no subtle way of explaining any of it!! Anyone have any ideas or experiences with this? Should I stop using the tampons?. Would really appreicate a reply Claire
