Re: Another useless doctors appointment

Hey, girls,
I am with you completely. I am 22 and last week started the Lupron
treatment...so far so good. I was scared that I wouldn't be given any
other option than a hysterectomy, but from talking to my doctor and also
listening to many in this group, I am so thankful that I looked into
other options. What was a relief for me was that my insurance made the
Lupron a posibility; it is an expensive drug but all I cover are my
co-pays and <hopefully> it works. Any doctor that says that you only
have one option or that they know just as much as anyone else shouldn't
be your only medical option. What area do you live in? From reading
others' posts, I've noticed that a lot of people are able to help find
good gynos, either through their own or through friends and friends of
friends. I'm confused though on the STD thing; I've never even been
asked about that?? I'm not sure understand...what do they tell you the
link between STDs and endometriosis is?
Hang in there and remember that you're not alone...we're all here with
ya ;)
