Re: will accupuncture help with heavy bleeding? From: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 1 07:36:21 2005
Holly, I saw an accupuncturist for about eight months. I saw a major difference in the flow of my period when I was seeing them. I was having really dark thick bleeding with alot of clotting, but it wasn't as heavy as you've described. The accupuncturist also had me on herbals for my periods (one was called Four Flower Extract), so I don't know if it was the accupuncture, the supplements, or both that made the difference. My periods changed from that yucky stuff to being light colored, thinner, and lighter flow- which in turn helped a bit with the pain. Adding some vitamins and iron supplements may help a little with the exhaustion. Feel free to contact me with any more questions, I'd be happy to help as best I can. Alyson
