Isa, I am so sorry that you have to be here with all of us, but I am glad you came. Just to let you know how this works. YOu can type a message and it available for anyone to read. Then people can click on your message, read it and then reply to it. It is a nice way to get opinions and support by many women dealing with similar problems. I hope we can help. I do have to say, I definately don't agree with doc's when they play endo off as "just a colon problem" although it contributes to that in some cases, it is not all it is. I don't think that just changing your diet will help. It helps some, but it can not be the only treatment, at least not in my eyes. It is your choice to talk further with your doc and let her know that you'd rather look into other treatment options, but please when you check them out, really be sure to look closely. They tend to have a lot of side effects. Unfortunately there is no cure, so therefore there is not great option. Many women are just trying different treatments and either they help some or they don't and they move on. I do think your doc has a good point of how serious the endo is and that sometimes, although the pain didn't go away for you last time, a lap will maybe help to clear things out so that you could maybe get started on a treatment plan to maybe get some endo under control. It is hard to trust that your doc is correct (not to say she is wrong), so if you are able, maybe you could get a second opinion. I hope I was a bit helpful. Best of luck to you and I am sending warm thoughts to you today! HUGS~ Lori D.
