Lindsay, sorry to hear that you have endo. It isn't fun and I am with you, it is so hard to make that decision. Unfortunately we can't help you decide, but I can tell you what my story is and maybe it'll help. I too was diagnosed with endo 7 years ago. They diagnosed me with stage IV endo. I do have 3 children, 2 on Earth and 1 in heaven. I don't like any of the treatment options. Maybe it is pure stuborness, but I don't like the side effects. My thinking is, we already have endo, we don't need a million other things going wrong so that we can have a limited time of pain free days, if even that. Luckily for some people, Lupron work, for me, it didn't help the pain and I had awful side effects. Hot flashes, leg cramps, moodiness, headaches, weight gain and the list goes on and on. Sorry to tell you this, I don't want to sound negative, but that is just my feeling on Lupron. Some other girls might tell you different and say it works well for them. A hysterectomy isn't a fun option. I do know women who have had them and things have gone well and then there are some that aren't as well either. But you are so correct, you have to be ready for one, it is a huge step. I am so sorry that I wasn't a bigger help, but I am here in case you ever need someone to talk to. I make a good listener. Hugs~ Lori D.
