This is my first visit to this web-site, although I was diagnosed with Endo about 7 years ago. I was having a tremendous amount of pain a few years ago and my dr recommended I go through a 6 month series of Depo Lupron, but before I had made a decision to do that, I was pregnant with my third child. My baby is now 2 and for the last several months the pain has steadily increased. I am 28 years old and feel like I am 90. Some days the pain is so unbearable I don't know what to do. Recently, I have had yet another ovarian cyst that has been monitored for the last 5 weeks. The dr was hoping that the pain was not the endo but the cyst. Well, yesterday I was back in the dr office with excruciating pain and although the cyst is still there...they are reassuring me that this pain is endo and it is not going to just "go away". The treatment choices given to me are: Hysterectomy, Depo Lupron, or taking a chance that Laproscopy will give me a few "pain-free" months.

I don't know what to do. I don't want to have a hysterectomy, not sure why, but just doesn't feel like a good choice for me. BUT, I have heard horror stories about the Lupron treatment and how horrible the side effects are and that a lot of times it isn't helpful. And the LAP surgery, well...is it worth having this done again???

Someone help...just need some advice and maybe some history from those who have tried some of these treatment options. Thanks
