Re: anyone else- strange painFrom: Suzanne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Aug 28 22:09:14 2005
Donna, I have had that fluttering feeling too and was told it can be gas moving through. For me at times it reminded me of when I was pregnant and fist felt movement. As for the Blood in Stool been there too and after going nothing but blood I went to the Er and they did a test to see and came back with Blood in Stool. this had me sent to a G.I. doctor who did a rear door scope that came back as Colon Polyps. Since my uncle had colorectol( sp?) Cancer he removed them during my scope. Bloody stools can come from internal hemroids too. It's lower G.I. related when it's red and if it's upper G.I it will look like Coffee grounds in the stool. Of course with Endo we do question those things and wonder is it Endo related. I'd talk to your PCP and as well as Gyn b/c it might be a good suggestion to be seen by a G.I. doctor and get evaluated. Too many things go undiagnosed b/c they do get the well Endo symptom brush off. I knew a lady some years back who had cancer go undiagnosed b/c she kept relating symptoms to Endo. I was relieved myself that I took the extra step and went to the G.I. to find out it was not a hemroid bleeding and that those polps were removed. There is this whole well at your age it's uncommon thing that surfaced for me. I hate to think if I'd have gone on my merry little way with that polyp until the standard age recommended of that scope that I might have been in my uncles shoes. Better to find out then to brush it off. I waited when I had my bleeding episode to go to Er. I'd say if you begin to feel worse or symptoms become unbearable then go to the Er. Hope you start feeling better soon and get answers. hugs Suzanne D.
