Hi Tania,
I'm in the Toronto area too... The reason a Hysto isn't a "cure" for
endo in some cases is because the endo is attached to other organs so
the endo will still act up. The only way a Hysto could work well, is if
you have a doctor who will get every little last tiny piece of endo out
of you, including the microscopic (which is the size of about half a
human hair). I am back right in the city from Sept 5th to 9th for my
surgery down at Mt Sinai. So far my doctor is more then amazing, she's
sweet, she's kind, she listens, she understands, the best thing of all
is she doesn't make any promises. She hasn't promised she's going to be
able to help me and remove all the endo, but she believes surgery is
worth a try. And just the fact that she hasn't made any promises makes
me feel sooooo much better. The only thing I know about meds is
anything that screws with your hormones for a long peroid of time has
major side effects and can be very dangerous, so you have to be careful.
If you ever want to talk let me know.
